We live our mission

Nelson Mandela said, “Health cannot be a question of income; it is a fundamental right.”

In our world, access to good health is all too often a function of where we are born, our economic class, race, ethnicity, gender and age. It is an unfortunate yet inescapable reality.

At Techinvention, we choose to look to the future with hope rather than look away in despair. Our mission to bring health equity to all is a challenge bigger than the sum of all its parts. So we’ve chosen to focus our expertise on tackling a specific problem – making essential vaccines and biopharmaceuticals acceptable, affordable and accessible in the developing world.

It is a complex problem. But we’re committed to chipping away at it piece by piece, with innovative strategies one project at a time. We offer our expertise and support to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, governments and investors so together we can make a difference to our shared world.

We lead by example

Our founder, Syed S Ahmed, is driven by the imperative to drive positive change where it is needed most in the developing world. Fiercely passionate about making global health equity a reality, he founded Techinvention to bring this purpose to life. With his equally passionate colleagues, he works to build novel biologics manufacturing capacity and infrastructure all over the developing world.

We’re mighty

Our team includes biotech and vaccine experts – strategists, scientists and engineers, who between them cover the entire scope of the life sciences landscape. Our domain knowledge and expertise has depth and breadth to tackle a wide spectrum of problems across geographies. The work we do spans over 30 countries across Asia, Africa, Middle East, CIS and Latin America.

As a team we have delivered several global firsts – the first successful development of a contemporary recombinant vaccine in Turkey; the first hi-tech state-of-the-art vaccine manufacturing facility in Central America; the first access to a specific vaccine from the developing world to Saudi Arabia to ensure continued public program immunisation.
